Shoe Crush Tuesday: Loza Maléombho Sandals

If you're looking for a unique pair of sandals that will add spunk to your summer wardrobe, these are it! Paired with a pair of denim shorts, floaty summer dress, or playful romper, the Zebra sandals are one of the many perfect ways to make a statement this season.

If you're a petite like me and wondering if these will be a good fit, there is also the Maracana sandals (which is a shorter version of the Zebra sandals and stops right below the knee).

Handmade in Côte d'Ivoire, they can be shipped internationally with an approximate fifteen day wait. Find the Zebra sandals here and the Maracana sandals here.

What I love most about the shoes is its designer, Loza Maléombho!

"Born in Brazil and raised between Côte d’Ivoire and the United States, she was designing since 13 and graduated in 2006 from the University of the Arts of Philadelphia with a BA of Fine Arts in Animation...Established in New York City in 2009 and relocated to Côte d’Ivoire since 2012 where its production takes place, the brand is best described as a fusion between traditional cultures/ sub-cultures and contemporary fashion."

There is authenticity in Maléombho 's craft, as well as a high level of social consciousness and impact as she employs the talent within and aims to promote African fashion. "By producing in Côte d’Ivoire, Loza’s vision is to empower women with a small manufacturing workshop that produces the collection and hires young women from unfavorable backgrounds. She also works closely with local artisans on featured products such as Indigo dye fabric, jewelry, shoes and accessories."

Seriously the type of stylish sandals I will totally invest in!
